Best books to learn Air traffic control, in order

Air traffic control is best understood before it's pursued: start with what the job actually demands, the airspace structure, the procedures and phraseology, and the pressure of separating traffic in real time, then the aptitude and exam prep, then the reality of the career. Reading in order tells you whether the work fits you. But FAA training, the academy, and rigorous qualification are the only real path in; books inform the decision, they don't certify the controller.
