About this book

These four lectures deal with but one aspect of the highest of all metaphysical problems, and they deal with it on the basis of but a very limited number of historical facts, themselves rather taken for granted than technically established. The problem is the metaphysical problem of God. The particular aspect of this problem singled out for detailed examination is the relation which obtains between our notion of God and the demonstration of his existence.
