Twenty Years at Hull House Jane Addams Hull House was a settlement house co-founded in 1889 by Jane Addams and Ellen Gates Starr. Located in Chicago, Hull House opened its doors to early European immigrants. With its innovative social, educational, and artistic programs, Hull House became the gold standard for the movement. Addams ran Hull House as head resident until her death in 1935, and in this book she documents her experiences there.
